Report: Update On Kota Ibushi Possibly Joining WWE

Kota Ibushi comments further on a potential WWE run

If WWE want to sign Kota Ibushi, the company seemingly only have to offer the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion a couple of things.

Speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ibushi noted he would "most certainly work with WWE" if the organisation allowed him to establish the next generation of talents at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

"Kota Ibushi has told me. If the WWE allowed him to also train & create the next generation of wrestlers at the performance center. Among having some high profile matches. He would most certainly work with WWE," Dark Puroresu Flowsion tweeted.

Ibushi is a free agent after his NJPW contract expired on February 1 and the 40-year-old recently admitted he would be interested in a WWE run. Ibushi is currently setting up his own wrestling school in Japan and he has noted his willingness to speak with AEW about a possible run in Tony Khan's promotion.

Ibushi previously performed for WWE in 2016's Cruiserweight Classic. He made it to the semifinal before losing to TJP and the two talents would team together in NXT's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic later that year.
