Report: Update On Nia Jax's WWE In-Ring Return

Could She Find A Spot on The WrestleMania 36 Card...

After WrestleMania 35, former Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax underwent surgery to repair both of her ACL's. She has been on the sidelines ever since, but The Facebreaker has been training at the WWE Performance Center ahead of an in-ring return.

Jax appears to be ready to re-enter the squared circle as she recently tweeted her frustration about not being booked on TV. She wrote: "I'm just gonna start another 4 horsewomen group so I can get booked, bc talent has nothing to do with it. (Triggering people in 3...2...1.)"

Her frustration looks set to end quickly, however, as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the former Raw Women's Champion has been moved to Friday Night SmackDown and will be at this week's episode in Detroit, Michigan.

Johnson penned: "Earlier today, I reported that Nia Jax was medically cleared to perform for WWE. The word making the rounds at Raw last night was that Nia would be part of the Smackdown brand when she returned and that she would be at this week's TV taping."

Nia is not currently part of this year's WrestleMania card, but that could change on Friday, particularly with Paige scheduled to also be on the show to confront SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley. The Anti-Diva has repeatedly said she would like to return to WWE TV as an on-screen manager and admitted if she could choose to manage anyone, it would be Jax. The returning Superstar has also said she would be open to the idea.

If they are paired together, Jax could enter the rumoured Six-Pack Challenge match at The Showcase Of The Immortals. Alex McCarthy revealed over the weekend who five of the women in the match were, and Nia could well be the sixth entrant.
