Report: Update On Potential AEW Debut For El Hijo Del Vikingo

More on a possible AEW debut for El Hijo Del Vikingo

An update on a potential All Elite Wrestling debut for El Hijo Del Vikingo has emerged.

AEW originally looked to bring in the AAA Mega Champion for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on the March 1 edition of Dynamite but Vikingo was not available. AEW instead booked Komander for the match and the luchador received rave reviews and is said to be attracting interest from WWE.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Vikingo was booked for AAA touring dates in Chiapas which caused him to miss the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. The feeling is Vikingo will likely wrestle for AEW at some point and it's more about just finding a show that Tony Khan's promotion wants to book him on ahead of time.

Vikingo had largely been forced to remain in Mexico in recent years over visa issues but he made his debut in the United States in December 2022. He has since competed on the independents for the likes of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, DEFY, Game Changer Wrestling, DREAMWAVE, and Warrior Wrestling.
