Report: WWE Considering Annual UK PPV

More WWE UK PPVs coming?

A 30-year wait between major UK shows from WWE looks to be a thing of the past.

The company returned to the United Kingdom in September, holding one of their biggest shows of the year in Clash at the Castle at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The event was headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and went off the air with Drew McIntyre singing 'Don't Look Back In Anger' by Oasis with Tyson Fury.

Clash at the Castle was WWE's first UK pay-per-view in 19 years but the company's next pay-per-view across the pound might be in 2023. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE are considering holding one pay-per-view in the UK every year. This would be in addition to the international shows they hold in Saudi Arabia each year.

As previously noted, WWE are also considering running less gimmick-based pay-per-views in 2023. What the organisation would replace those shows with, though, is unknown as of the time of writing.
