Report: WWE Interested In Re-Signing Braun Strowman
Could Strowman be WWE bound?
Braun Strowman could be set for a sensational return to WWE.
The former Universal Champion was only released by WWE in early June but Vince McMahon's company are interested in re-signing Strowman according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
AEW's recent signings have reportedly been the catalyst for WWE's interest in Strowman, with the likes of Malakai Black and Andrade having shown up on Dynamite in recent months. AEW have also reportedly signed Bryan Danielson and CM Punk is said to be in talks with Tony Khan's promotion.
AEW and Strowman do have a mutual interest in working together, according to Mark Henry, but WWE's interest may well turn Strowman's head.
For much of his eight-year WWE run, Strowman was presented as a main event-worthy star, but WWE reportedly thought The Monster Among Men was two years past his peak at the time of his release. The former Universal Champion was also on a "monster deal" worth over $1 million per year which contributed to WWE letting him go.
