Report: WWE Talent Miss Shows Following Positive COVID-19 Tests

COVID-19 affects WWE shows

COVID-19 has affected some of WWE's recent events.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several WWE talents have missed the company's shows recently due to testing positive for COVID-19.

None of the talent who have tested positive disclosed so publicly, nor have WWE announced anything in recent months with the exception being Roman Reigns' positive test ahead of January's Day 1 pay-per-view.

WWE are no longer testing talent for COVID-19 at shows but talent are seemingly still testing when they begin to exhibit symptoms.

All Elite Wrestling have also had their own problems with COVID and Hangman Page was absent from Wednesday's edition of Dynamite after the AEW World Champion announced he was ill with the virus.

AEW Dynamite and Rampage underwent heavy rewrites as a result and a planned angle between CM Punk and Page to set up their AEW World Title match at Double or Nothing was scrapped.

Instead, AEW simply announced the match would be taking place at the May 29 pay-per-view before Punk cut a short promo.
