Rocky Romero Believes NJPW Would Be Open To Supershow With AEW

An NJPW/AEW Supershow has been long discussed by fans and industry experts

The ‘forbidden door’ at this point is little more than a pile of sawdust and splinters, with the working relationship between AEW and NJPW in full swing.

The next step many would want, is an NJPW/AEW supercard, and NJPW’s Rocky Romero is one of those open to the idea, telling Wrestling Inc. Daily’s Nick Hausman:

“I mean, anything is possible, for sure. I know that is what the fans want,” Romero stated. “It’s definitely still really difficult for us because we are two touring brands in two different countries. We’ve got the US touring brand, and the Japanese touring brand, which is constantly touring. It’s just hard logistic-wise for sure. But if AEW is open to it, I think New Japan would be open to it as well.”

Romero is one of the many NJPW talents who have crossed through the ‘forbidden door’, officially inducting Best Friends into CHAOS, whilst reforming Roppongi Vice with Trent Barretta on AEW TV. We’ve also seen Bullet Club leader Jay White rear his head in AEW recently, teasing an angle with former stablemates The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega somewhere down the road.
