Roman Reigns Appearance, Tag Title Match Set For 9/23 WWE SmackDown

Plus Braun Strowman's in-ring return

Two matches, as well as an appearance from WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns, are set for next Friday's SmackDown broadcast from Salt Lake City.

Reigns' appearance was announced on Friday night, and will mark his first appearance since retaining his title over Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle on September 3. He is reportedly set to defend his title against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel on November 5.

Reigns' Bloodline stablemates The Usos will be in action on the program, defending their Tag Team titles against Ridge Holland and Butch of The Brawling Brutes. Holland and Butch won a four-way number one contenders' match on Friday's SmackDown, defeating The New Day, Hit Row, and Imperium.

Next Friday's SmackDown broadcast will also include the WWE in-ring return of Braun Strowman, who will go one on one with fellow giant Omos.

The card for the September 23 edition of WWE SmackDown, emanating from Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, UT, includes the following:

* Undisputed WWE Tag Team: The Usos (c) vs. Ridge Holland and Butch

* Braun Strowman vs. Omos

* An appearance from WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns
