Shane McMahon 'Always Welcome' In AEW Says Tony Khan

Tony Khan on Shane McMahon to AEW

Could Shane McMahon pop up in All Elite Wrestling after all?

Rumours in recent weeks have noted that Shane McMahon has spoken to people within AEW about potentially appearing in the promotion, with it emerging 'The Boy Wonder' is no longer signed to any kind of contract with WWE. He appeared in WWE 2K24 under a separate deal.

Tony Khan recently stated that he has never met or talked to Shane McMahon in his life, but in new comments to Sports Illustrated, the AEW CEO said Shane was "always welcome" in the promotion.

"I heard the rumour he might be interested. I've never met Shane, but we have a lot of mutual friends. I have a lot of respect for him as an executive and a professional wrestler. Shane is always welcome in AEW," Khan noted.

Shane McMahon hasn't made any pro wrestling appearances since WrestleMania 39 when he tore his quadriceps in an impromptu match against The Miz. WWE has changed dramatically since then, with the Endeavor-owned TKO Group Holdings now the owners of WWE following the merger with UFC in September 2023.
