Potential Spoiler On Wild Card In AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

Wild card entrant for AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament potentially revealed

Whilst the fields have been announced for the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournaments, there is still one space up for grabs, with a ‘wild card’ entrant set to enter the men’s bracket.

Whomever the wild card is will face Jeff Jarrett in a quarter-final bout on the July 3 Beach Break episode of AEW Collision, and speculation has ramped up as to whom will face 'Double J'.

On the June 26 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks announced that they are deciding who the wild card will be, leading to speculation that this could yield the return of Hangman Page. A report from Fightful Select hasn’t confirmed if Hangman is indeed the wild card, but did note that AEW have been expecting Hangman to return to the promotion in late June or early July. The report noted that Hangman has been discussed for the tournament.

Page has been out of action since early March, with the former AEW World Champion taking a leave of absence after competing in the main event of Revolution 2024. Page is not believed to be injured, and was taking time off for ‘contractually obligated personal reasons’.
