Tommaso Ciampa References Classic Scott Steiner Promo On WWE NXT 2.0

Channelling his inner Steiner

Tommaso Ciampa paid homage to professional wrestling legend Scott Steiner and his classic Steiner math promo on the November 16 edition of NXT 2.0.

Ciampa, who is currently locked in a feud with Steiner's nephew Bron Breakker, went face-to-face with Bron on Tuesday's NXT 2.0 and after they bickered back and forth, The Blackheart said: "I'm no math major, by the sounds of it you ain't either. But the way I see it, you've got less than a 33 1/3% chance of ever taking this NXT Title away from me. Now you can bark up the tree all you want but at the end of the day Bron, you're just a puppy, and me? I'm the NXT Champion."

Breakker and Ciampa have been feuding since the NXT rebrand in September and the NXT Champion successfully defended the gold against the son of Rick Steiner at Halloween Havoc.

Scott Steiner cut his famous promo ahead of his Three-Way against Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Sacrifice 2008. Using maths like only Scott Steiner can, The Big Bad Booty Daddy somehow concluded that Samoa Joe only had a 33 1/3% of winning at Sacrifice "because Kurt Angle knows he can't beat me." Steiner then by some miracle reached the conclusion that Joe actually had an 8 1/3% chance of winning at Sacrifice while he had a 141 2/3% chance of winning.

This all meant one thing, disaster for Samoa Joe at Sacrifice.

All of Steiner's maths would ultimately be for nought, though, as Frankie Kazarian replaced Kurt Angle at Sacrifice due to a neck injury suffered by The Wrestling Machine. Steiner would then lose at Sacrifice, tearing his ACL in the process, as Samoa Joe walked away with the gold.
