Tony Khan Hopes FTR Return To AEW

Tony Khan wants to see FTR back in AEW after their hiatus

2023 will be a monumental year for FTR, with the multi-time multi-promotional tag team champions on hiatus from AEW for several months, with their contracts set to expire around April.

Dax Harwood has previously alluded to the fact that he and Cash Wheeler are potentially facing their last full-time run as a team and are not sure where they will ply their trade once their AEW/ROH contracts expire. However, AEW and ROH President Tony Khan has stated his desire to see the team return to his company, saying the following on the In The Kliq podcast:

"I do hope to see FTR back," Khan said. "They do need some time to recover from what was one of the most intense years of wrestling any team's ever done - the schedule they went through, all the different places they worked."

"So I think, for those guys, we wanna see them back in AEW and wanna see them heal up and come back at 100 percent," Khan later added. "We're really looking forward to that, hopefully. I think they're a great team and would love to have them back."

FTR signed with AEW in 2020 after being granted their release from WWE earlier the same year.
