Triple H On Lack Of Black Representation In WWE: I Don't See Colour

Triple H said that he doesn't see colour when probed about black representation in WWE

In recent weeks, several statistics have been made widely known online regarding the opportunities black talents are getting in WWE, or apparent lack thereof. For instance, a black male talent has not won a WWE singles match on a main roster PPV since Bobby Lashley’s DQ victory over Brock Lesnar all the way back at Elimination Chamber 2023. When it comes to a pinfall or submission win, it was Lashley at SummerSlam 2022. Additionally, last night’s Bad Blood PLE was the third straight show without a black male talent featured in a match.

During the Bad Blood 2024 post-show press conference, Triple H was asked about black representation in WWE, to which he responded that he doesn’t see colour:

“I see everybody gets the opportunity. I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the color, I don’t see the nationality or any of that. I just see talent. I don’t see the difference between men and women, I see talent. We tell stories with those talent, how they can handle those stories and how they can represent those stories, and how we can bring those stories forward. I don’t keep track of any of that. I do what’s relevant and what is best in the storytelling and what’s being delivered the best and that’s what goes. No different than the men and women who main events whatever, whatever the biggest stories are, that’s where we go.”

It was reported that WWE was now ‘aware’ of these statistics which went around online, and that it will be addressed going forwards.
