Triple H On WWE WrestleMania In London: "Let's Talk"

Paul Levesque responds to Sadiq Khan's pledge for WWE WrestleMania in London

Could WWE WrestleMania actually head to London, England?

As part of his re-election campaign, London Mayor Sadiq Khan pledged to set up a taskforce to explore bringing more American sports to the city, including the first-ever WWE WrestleMania to be held outside of the United States and Canada.

Sadiq Khan said: "London is a world leader in major sports events and has been at the heart of some of the most memorable sporting moments of the last few decades. From the Olympics, to the Lionesses winning the Euros at Wembley, to the Ashes at Lord's and The Oval, London is where it's at. If I'm re-elected on 2 May, I'm determined to go even further and fully cement London's reputation as the undisputed sports capital of the world. I believe that London has the potential to host the first international WrestleMania. In the meantime, my message to anyone travelling to the Paris Olympics this summer is to include a visit to London in your itinerary, to enjoy all that our city has to offer."

Although Khan's pledge came only weeks after WWE President Nick Khan announced WrestleMania and WWE's other Big Five pay-per-views would be remaining in North America for the foreseeable future, the company may have had a change of heart.

Responding to Sadiq Khan's pledge, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque tweeted: "Let's talk."

If the latest polls are accurate, Sadiq Khan looks set to be re-elected Mayor of London on May 2. He is 13 points ahead of the Conservative Party candidate, his nearest rival.

After not holding a major event in the United Kingdom for 19 years, WWE held Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales in September 2022. The company followed up with Money in the Bank from The O2 in London in July 2023 and the latest WWE premium live event from the UK will be Clash at the Castle 2024 from Glasgow, Scotland on June 15.
