Tyler Bate Out Of Action Due To WWE NXT Injury

Tyler Bate injured!

Tyler Bate might not be on WWE TV for a little while.

Michael Cole announced on commentary during Monday Night Raw that Tyler Bate will be "out of action for a bit" after Bate sustained an injury during the July 2 episode of NXT. Bate teamed with New Catch Republic tag team partner Pete Dunne on July 2 in a win over Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. The exact nature of Bate's injury is unknown.

In Bate's absence, Pete Dunne was in singles action on Monday Night Raw, suffering a loss to Bronson Reed. The former NXT North American Champion attacked Pete Dunne after the match until Sheamus made the save. Dunne then pushed Sheamus away when he tried to embrace the former Butch, seemingly due to Sheamus previously quitting Brawling Brutes, the faction he led with Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland.

Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne reunited in January 2024 and they were featured regularly on Friday Night SmackDown. They were moved to Raw as part of the WWE Draft, however, and New Catch Republic have barely been booked on the main roster since then, primarily wrestling on NXT.
