Undertaker Reveals Last-Minute Nature Of WrestleMania 40 Involvement

Undertaker was one of several high-profile names to interfere in the WrestleMania 40 main event.

Speaking on his own Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker spoke about his involvement in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 40 - revealing the last-minute nature of his run-in, and the sense of closure it provided him.

Undertaker explained that he was initially contacted by Triple H on the Tuesday of WrestleMania week about the possibility of being involved, and a follow-up from Michael Hayes on the Thursday, but the specifics of his interaction with The Rock were not confirmed until Night 2 had actually begun.

'Taker was one of several high profile run-ins during the main event title match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, a match which also saw interference from John Cena, The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy and Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins.

Undertaker's appearance saw him take out The Rock with a chokeslam towards the end of the match.

He also spoke about the feeling of closure his run-in gave him, explaining:

"I've been struggling with it since I retired but this weekend gave me closure. It really did. It was fun, obviously it was fun. Doing this for as long as I have and being involved, and how important that storyline was and is [...] but when it was over and I'm running out of the building, I'm like 'I'm good now.'

"It was like a moment of clarity that I had, like 'I'm okay now.' I'm not saying that I wouldn't do something like that in the future, but I don't have that feeling in my chest like I've had since I retired that I hadn't come to peace with it."
