Update On When Adam Cole Will Make AEW Return

When Adam Cole is expected back in AEW revealed

Adam Cole’s absence from All Elite Wrestling has been long and frustrating, with Cole’s ankle injury in September 2023 derailing main event plans for the company.

The three-time Ring of Honor World Champion has appeared sporadically on AEW TV since his injury and ultimate unveiling as the villainous ‘Devil’ in charge of the Undisputed Kingdom, a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shed some light on when Cole could make his full AEW return.

Unfortunately, although Cole is walking unassisted there is no set date for his full-time return, with it hoped Cole could be back soon, Meltzer stating Cole will not be out for ‘much longer’.

Cole turned heel on MJF in late 2023 after a Summer where the two became one of the most over acts in the whole company. Whilst Cole suffering a seemingly innocuous-looking ankle injury put a short-term dent in plans for Cole and MJF to have a high-profile main event rivalry, the injury was worse than initially feared, with Cole’s appearances with the Undisputed Kingdom few and far between.

Cole appeared at AEW Double or Nothing in May 2024, with a returning MJF assaulting his former tag partner, with Cole taking a brainbuster from the former AEW World Champion.
