Update On WWE NXT Possibly Starting Touring

Could WWE NXT begin touring?

With the announcement of a new deal to broadcast WWE NXT on The CW from October 2024 came fresh optimism about the future of WWE’s third brand.

The new broadcast deal is believed to be significantly higher than NXT’s current broadcast deal with USA Network, with the increase in funds surely set to trickle down into the product itself. As well as assumed overhauls to production and presentation, reports have suggested that NXT could become a touring brand, travelling to markets outside of the WWE Performance Center.

A recent report from Haus of Wrestling has stated that whilst there is major interest ‘across the board’ within WWE to make NXT seem bigger and more grand, they don’t want to overexpose the brand. NXT itself is still in a growing phase, with TV viewing figures healthy and expanding, and WWE wants to focus on this growth before taking NXT on the road, and even then it would have to be a fiscally responsible move.

2023 has seen NXT come on leaps and bounds with regards to TV ratings, with WWE sending household main roster names to the brand in order to spread awareness and increase viewer interest.
