WWE Comment On Abuse Allegations Against Jordan Devlin

Brave men and women have been sharing their stories through #SpeakingOut

Over the past 48 hours, brave men and women have been sharing their stories of surviving abuse in the British professional wrestling scene and beyond through #SpeakingOut.

One story involved NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin as Twitter user Hannah wrote: "This is scary. I'm really scared. Jordan Devlin did this to me. And this is just the physical damage. Not including my arse and back bruises.... because I don't fancy posting that online."

WWE issued the following statement in response to the allegations: "We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter."

Devlin is yet to comment publicly on the allegations.

The Irish Ace is the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion having won the title back in January at Worlds Collide. He featured prominently on NXT and NXT UK after capturing the title but has been unable to appear on the black and gold brand because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In his absence, WWE held a tournament to crown a second NXT Cruiserweight Champion which was won by Santos Escobar.
