Mark Henry On Sami Zayn’s WWE Raw Promo: “That Was Not Written For Him”

Zayn returned after nine months out…

WWE

During this week’s WWE Raw after WrestleMania 35, Sami Zayn made his first appearance for the company in over nine months.

The former NXT Champion made his shock return inside the Barclays Center after having double rotator cuff surgery last summer.

Sami’s return saw a different shade to his heel work added, as he transformed from the goofy lackey of Kevin Owens to serial truther – labelling WWE a “toxic environment” because of the fans who aren’t capable of enjoying shows anymore.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry spoke about the promo on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, and said the following:

“That was not written for him, they said ‘Sami, how do you feel about this situation?’ And he let the world have it.

“I walked up to him and I said ‘Man, who the hell are you?’ Where has this guy been, all this time? He said ‘Mark, I’m not holding back no more,’ and I said don’t.

“There are people that can wrestle their ass off, but they don’t have to because they can get more done in a three-minute promo than some can in a twenty-minute match.”
