Matt Hardy Tweets That He Has 11 Days Left On WWE Contract

Those who follow Matt Hardy on Twitter know that over the past number of months, he's been timelining his career through various photos, a digital "through the years" of sorts. One set of photos posted Thursday shows Hardy in 2014, holding up belts from Maryland Championship Wrestling and the short-lived Extreme Rising promotion.

Hardy ended the tweet by noting "I've always felt comfortable outside of the WWE."

When a Twitter user called out Hardy for his "thinly-veiled passive-aggressive threat to leave" WWE, Hardy calmly responded by noting that he has 11 days remaining on his current deal, and reiterated that he would be comfortable being away from his current employer.

Pro Wrestling Sheet has noted that Jeff's deal is up soon as well (which makes sense, given that the Hardys returned together two years ago), and that all parties are working to come to terms on their contracts. However, at this time, nothing has been finalized.

Hardy's most recent match took place on September 15, teaming with Bray Wyatt at a live event in Corpus Christi, TX.
