2 Cold Scorpio Sent To Jail, Described As 'Danger To Public Safety'

Former WWE, WCW, ECW, and NJPW wrestler Charles "2 Cold Scorpio" Scaggs is now behind bars after being jailed on September 17.

A court hearing took place yesterday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri, and the former Flash Funk was taken into custody and jailed. The hearing took place after prosecutors filed a motion last week to revoke Scorpio's bond and have him remanded to jail. At the hearing, Scaggs admitted to brandishing a firearm, which was in violation of his bond. PWInsider noted that the court ruled Scaggs be remanded into custody due to violating his bond conditions, with it being noted the violation was "a danger to public safety."

2 Cold Scorpio is set to be sentenced on October 9 and he will remain behind bars until then at the very least. Scorpio pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and armed criminal action in August of 2026 after agreeing to a plea deal over an incident in June 2024.

Charles Scaggs was originally arrested in the early hours of June 15, 2024, following an altercation at a Love's Travel Stop in Kansas City where 2 Cold Scorpio worked as a security guard. It was alleged that an altercation took place after Scaggs confronted a man over smoking a cigarette in the store.

The situation escalated from there, with Scaggs and the victim disagreeing on who the aggressor was. When police arrived at the scene, the victim had stab wounds to his head, chest, buttocks, back of the leg, and abdomen, while Scaggs had swelling and redness on the left side of his face, a red mark on his nose, a cut thumb, and scratches across his body.

Charles Scaggs was originally charged with one count of first-degree assault and one count of armed criminal action. He initially pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defence, before agreeing to a plea deal on lesser charges before the trial was due to begin.

2 Cold Scorpio was a featured wrestler across several major pro wrestling promotions in the 1990s and 2000s and he is a former ECW World Television Champion, ECW World Tag Team Champion, and WCW World Tag Team Champion. Scorpio continued to perform on the indies following his arrest, although he hasn't wrestled since August of 2025.
