WWE have signed three former Olympians with it being officially announced on the WWE NXT X/Twitter account that Shady Elnahas, Aaron Fara, and Francois Prinsloo have reported to the WWE Performance Center.

Shady Elnahas - 27 - is a Canadian retired judoka who won gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Pan American Games in the 100 kg or less category. Elnahas competed at the Judo World Championships in 2024, earning a silver medal.

Aaron Fara - 27 - is also a retired judoka from Austria who competed at the 2024 Olympic Games, being knocked out in the first round.

Francois Prinsloo is a 23-year-old discus thrower from South Africa. They won the NCAA Division I title in the discus in 2024 and Prinsloo competed in the discus throw at the 2024 Olympics.

Although the signings have only just been made official, WWE actually signed Aaron Fara in late 2024 and the company offered deals to Shady Elnahas and Francois Prinsloo around that time. Their signings came about after WWE held a tryout with 17 Olympic athletes.

The most famous Olympian to perform for WWE is Kurt Angle. Current former Olympians in the company include Chad Gable, Jeff Cobb, and Tyra Mae Steele.
