Adam Cole Undergoes Ankle Surgery

Ankle surgery for Adam Cole

Adam Cole is now on the mend.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Adam Cole had a second surgery on his ankle in recent days. When exactly Cole will return is unknown but Dave Meltzer noted the former ROH World Champion will be out of action "for a while."

Cole has been on the shelf since he sustained a freak ankle injury at Dynamite Grand Slam while jumping to the floor. Cole previously revealed he would require two surgeries that would include eight screws and a plate in his ankle. He also stated it was the most painful injury he had ever suffered.

Cole has remained on AEW TV since his injury, including in a vignette with Roderick Strong where they raced around a house as Cole recovers from his broken ankle and Roderick remains "neck strong." Cole is still one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with MJF. There is no word on if Tony Khan plans to strip them of the titles.
