Adam Copeland Was Cleared For 3 Months Before AEW Return
Cope was ready to return to the ring for a while
Jan 4, 2025
Adam Copeland, now known as ‘Cope’, made his return to AEW at the Worlds End PPV, closing out the show by aligning with FTR and chasing out The Death Riders faction. In the post-show press conference, Cope explained that he’d actually been cleared for a little while, but remained at home to support his family in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in the nearby area, explaining that he and his children had been brushing their teeth with bottled water.
Speaking with Mojo Rawley on TMZ, Cope opened up more about his absence, return, and gave a time frame on how long he’s actually been able to return to the ring.
"I'm good to go. The rest of my body feels great. My leg feels great. I've actually been cleared for three months, but with everything that happened with the Hurricane, we all had the discussion that it was more important to be home and get everything at home squared away, and then get back to work. Everything feels great. In that time, I've been healthy and going to the ring and been able to go 100 in the gym. I feel ready."
Cope teamed up with FTR to defeat The Death Riders on Dynamite’s Fight For The Fallen episode this week.
