The Rock joined the TKO Board Of Directors in early 2024 in an appointment that was said to "reflect TKO's commitment to delivering long-term value and strong performance for shareholders through strategic growth initiatives across both UFC and WWE."
At the time, it was believed that a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 was a part of the deal for him to join TKO, though plans changed on this front, and The Rock was instead a part of a tag team match involving Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. It was also revealed that The Rock got a say in WWE Hall Of Fame inductions and also full ownership of ‘The Rock’ name.
The Rock has now received 96,557 Class A shares of TKO stock per an SEC filing released last night. This came as part of the agreement for him joining the board, though these stocks, worth a present day value of nearly $14 million, were not awarded until December 31. This is in addition to the shares he already owned, now at a total of 289,673.
