The Outrunners Originally Weren't Planned For Title Match At AEW Full Gear
There was a change of plans for The Outrunners heading into Full Gear

The Outrunners duo of Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd have been riding a wave of momentum in recent months, gaining natural popularity despite not being regularly featured, so much so that they have been among AEW’s top merchandise sellers in recent months.
According to recent reports, it was suggested that The Young Bucks had originally wanted to drop the AEW World Tag Team Championships to The Outrunners, though instead they ended up losing the gold to Private Party. The Bucks recently revealed in an interview that Private Party was not the original plan, but things changed and ended up turning out like they did. The Outrunners got a shot at the gold at the recent AEW Full Gear PPV, losing out in a fatal four way involving Private Party, Kings Of The Black Throne and The Acclaimed, though it was originally set to be FTR.
Dax Harwood revealed to WrestleZone that he pitched himself for The Outrunners to take their place on the PPV.
“I was telling you there are some people online who like to say that we latch on right? One of the things, people said, we latched onto The Outrunners because of their popularity. I would beg anybody to ask The Outrunners what they thought of us and how they felt we helped them. Never once….there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes, and you know what? I’ll say it. For example, at the last pay-per-view, the four-way tag team title match, FTR was supposed to be in one of those spots. I went to Tony and said, ‘Hey man, these guys have worked their ass off. They deserve that spot. Take us out and put them in.’ And he did. He agreed with me.”
Perhaps at some stage The Outrunners will claim the AEW World Tag Titles, scoring their first reign for 57 years.
