One year on from the issues between All Elite Wrestling and Ryan Nemeth being moved to arbitration, AEW have accused Nemeth of misrepresenting and misleading them through his conduct.

POST Wrestling has reported that AEW filed a petition on June 5 in the US District Court in the Middle District of Florida to compel Ryan Nemeth to arbitrate their dispute at the JAMS administrative office that is closest to Duval County, Florida, and for the matter to be adjudicated under Florida law. JAMS, a private company that helps resolve disputes, is the company designated within AEW contracts to settle any disputes that may arise.

Ryan Nemeth filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court against All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan, and CM Punk on February 14, 2025, alleging assault, breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and intentional interference with prospective advantage.

AEW filed to compel arbitration and move the case to Duval County, Florida in March 2025, arguing that an arbitration clause in Nemeth's AEW contract stipulated any disputes were to be resolved in Duval County. In April 2025, Nemeth filed to voluntarily dismiss his lawsuit and AEW filed to compel private arbitration.

However, in the June 5, 2026 petition, All Elite Wrestling noted that Nemeth filed for arbitration to take place at a JAMS office in Orange County, California and included "an assortment of unsupported claims under the California Labor Code," which AEW claims does not apply as Nemeth was an independent contractor and not an employee. AEW tried to move the arbitration claim to Florida in November of 2025 but JAMS declined to do so in December.

At this point, JAMS presented Nemeth and AEW with a list of 10 potential arbitrators, of which six were located in California, three in Florida, and one in New York. AEW have claimed that the number of options in California favoured Nemeth and the case being arbitrated in California was "in violation of the express terms of the agreement."

In another filing this week, AEW and Tony Khan are seeking for confidential information around the three independent contractor agreements that Nemeth signed with AEW between 2021 and 2023 to be sealed.

Since 2024, Ryan Nemeth has been a part of TNA Wrestling in a tag team with his brother, Nic Nemeth. They held the TNA World Tag Team Titles for 84 days in 2025.
