AEW All Out 2024 Sells Out Following Late Surge In Ticket Sales
AEW All Out 2024 sells out
It didn't look likely one week out from the show but All Elite Wrestling's All Out pay-per-view ended up selling out the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, September 7.
AEW CEO Tony Khan announced 10 minutes after the pay-per-view began that All Out was sold out, tweeting: "Thank you all watching #AEWAllOut TONIGHT, live on ppv worldwide from the sold-out @NOW_Arena in front of 9,000 amazing wrestling fans in Chicago right NOW!"
All Out ended up selling out following a late surge in ticket sales, with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer crediting the strong late sales to the build for Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page that will main event All Out. Wednesday night's Dynamite came to an end with Hangman Page burning down Strickland's childhood home and it was announced soon after that their All Out match had been changed to an Unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage Match.
As of August 30, 6,511 tickets had been distributed for All Out with the NOW Arena set up to hold 7,563 fans. By Friday, September 6, though, ticket sales had been so strong that 7,610 tickets had been distributed and the NOW Arena set-up was changed to accommodate 8,582 fans. As of 30 minutes before the All Out main card got underway, WrestleTix reported that 8,513 tickets had been distributed for the show.
