AEW Announces "Blood And Guts" Episode Of Dynamite For March 25

Featuring a familiar-looking match...

The March 25 episode of Dynamite from Newark, NJ's Prudential Center has been subheaded "Blood and Guts", as announced during Saturday night's Revolution pay-per-view.

AEW has already produced themed episodes of Dynamite under the Bash at the Beach header, and while "Blood and Guts" isn't a classic NWA/WCW property, what the show will present certainly is.

The event is set to feature a match inside of two rings surrounded by a covered steel cage. While the video package did not mention "War Games" by name, the phrase "this is war" was used in the promo.

Cody Rhodes trademarked the phrase "The Match Beyond" sometime last year, which was the second half of the full classic title of War Games. He even name-dropped "The Match Beyond" in a tease during an episode of Dynamite in November.

The "Blood and Guts" name likely stems from a comment made by Vince McMahon last year during an investors conference call, where he derided AEW for relying on "...blood and guts and gory things that they have been doing."
