Mariah May with the AEW Women's World Title

Mariah May has not been seen on AEW TV since failing to regain the AEW Women’s World Championship at Revolution in March, with it revealed that May’s contract is reportedly set to expire soon.

As it stands, unless May signs a new deal with All Elite Wrestling then she will depart the company later this year, with it believed that WWE are set to make a huge push to sign ‘The Glamour’. Regardless of whether she stays ‘All Elite’ or departs for WWE, a report from Fightful Select suggests there has been no ‘colourful’ opinions shared about May’s status in the AEW locker room, with most seeing May’s positioning as a business move and nothing more.

May arrived in AEW in late 2023 as the protege of Toni Storm, with the two having a hot rivalry that culminated with the bloody Hollywood Ending fight at Revolution, with Storm defeating May to retain the AEW World Championship.

It is believed that May only signed a two-year deal upon joining AEW, with Fightful’s report stating that those within AEW were surprised that May was only on a two-year deal.
