The August 3 episode of AEW Collision, as expected, was a very tough night in the ratings for All Elite Wrestling.

Wrestlenomics has reported that Collision averaged 189,000 viewers across its two-hour runtime and a 0.08 rating in the key 18-49 demographic on TNT. The show drew a new record low in total viewership for Collision, while the 0.08 rating was the second lowest in the 18-49 demo since Collision's debut in June 2023.

AEW Collision did not air in its regular time slot of 8 pm - 10 pm ET and the show was moved to 5 pm - 7 pm ET to avoid going head-to-head with WWE SummerSlam. WWE did extend the SummerSlam pre-show to three hours, potentially to get the one-hour jump on Collision, and the final two hours of the countdown show aired against the AEW series.

TV viewership in the United States continues to be dominated by the Olympics and Wrestlenomics noted that coverage of the games on the USA Network took six of the top eight spots for cable programming on Saturday, August 3.

Compared to the same week in 2023, Collision was down 54.7 per cent in total viewers and down 38.5 per cent in the 18-49 demo.

Collision's record low comes only one day after AEW Rampage registered a new record low in total viewership, having averaged 209,000 viewers on TNT on Friday, August 2. The 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demo was tied with the lowest rating in the demo in show history.
