AEW Revolution 2025 is officially in the history books, as the promotion headed to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California last week for a show that saw several acclaimed matches such as Toni Storm vs. Mariah May, Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher, MJF vs. Adam Page and Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet, in addition to a not-so-acclaimed main event between Jon Moxley and Cope for the AEW World Championship.

When it comes to how well the show performed from a PPV standpoint, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some insight. It is noted that 2023 into 2024 saw a decline in PPV buys, but there was a boost for All In 2024 when AEW headed to Wembley Stadium. However, due to AEW PPVs being taken off Bleacher Report, buys had seen an overall decline due to losing out on its number one distributor.

AEW Revolution 2025 has brought about AEW’s biggest numbers since All In, reportedly sitting at an estimated 135,000 to 140,000 buys in the first week. When it comes to the controversial main event, a report emerged stating that AEW changed plans at the last minute for the match. It was also noted that an appearance from the absent Luchasaurus was spoken about, but nothing ultimately emerged.
