With his brawler in-ring work and penchant for drinking alcohol in the ring, many have compared All Elite Wrestling's 'Hangman' Adam Page to 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin as The Anxious Millenial Cowboy has risen to the top in AEW.

Fellow AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson can see the similarities between Hangman and The Texas Rattlesnake, particularly in their in-ring work, but The American Dragon noted Page couldn't just come in and be exactly the same as Steve Austin

"Even while I was in WWE, I kept an eye on talent, I watched 'Hangman' in Ring of Honor and New Japan. It's crazy to see how much he's grown, both from an in-ring perspective and a character perspective," Danielson told Sports Illustrated.

"I love his updated brawler style of wrestling. To me, he wrestles a modernised version of the way Steve Austin wrestled, and that cowboy persona reminds a lot of people of Steve Austin. But in 2021, you can't come in and be just like Steve Austin. He's developed this nuanced cowboy character with a drinking problem."

Danielson and Page faced off for the first time earlier this week, wrestling to a 60-minute time limit draw on Wednesday's special 'Winter Is Coming' edition of Dynamite in a match many have hailed as one of the best of the year.
