AEW's Christopher Daniels Wins DEFY Interim Title

Daniels has gold once again

At 51-years-old, Christopher Daniels is a champion in professional wrestling once again.

The Fallen Angel faced Brody King in the main event of DEFY Wrestling's Dark Horse show from Seattle's Washington Hall on Saturday, December 18.

As DEFY Champion Randy Myers is based in Canada and cannot regularly defend the title due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Daniels and Brody King went one on one to crown an interim champion.

Daniels ultimately came away with the win and he is now the DEFY Interim Champion.

Daniels hasn't wrestled in All Elite Wrestling since SCU split up in May of this year, but The Fallen Angel has continued to wrestle on the independent wrestling scene, including three times for DEFY against Titus Alexander, Daniel Garcia and the aforementioned Brody King. Daniels has also performed in IMPACT and New Japan Pro-Wrestling in recent months.

Also in action at Dark Horse was AEW's Lio Rush, The Bollywood Boyz, Blake Christian, No Way and 16-year-old Nick Wayne, who recently defeated Joey Janela.
