AEW's CM Punk: "Bret Hart Is Always Right"

Punk continues to pay tribute to the Hitman.

In the aftermath of his victory over MJF at AEW Revolution, an emotional CM Punk spoke on a number of topics in the post-show media scrum. One particular point of conversation was Bret Hart, and the influence he had on Punk, who said:

"I'll put it to you like this. I love Bret Hart. His career was cut short and it's a goddamn tragedy because there are people that go over to Saudi Arabia and get paid millions of dollars, and that should have been Bret. I feel super fortunate and grateful and appreciative that I got a second chance. I'd give it up in a heartbeat to give it to Bret, but I'm going to enjoy it. I just love that motherf***** so much. He's the greatest. He was right. Bret Hart is always right."

Many people noticed similarities between Punk's return match against Darby Allin and Bret Hart's Raw bout with the 1-2-3 Kid, with several spots appearing to pay homage to the 1994 clash.
