AEW's Ruby Soho To Wrestle At The WRLD On GCW
Soho and Allie Katch will wrestle for the first time ever
We are just under two weeks away from The WRLD on GCW from New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, and another match has been added to the card, as Allie Katch takes on AEW’s Ruby Soho.
The news was revealed on GCW’s social media channels via a cinematic vignette. The video showed Allie Katch walking the streets of Manhattan, talking about how she has been chasing one dream match her entire career, but the rug was always pulled from beneath her. Katch used the word ‘destination’ throughout, walking past graffiti proclaiming ‘THE RIOT IS OVER’ before finding a fresh tag that simply said ‘SOHO’.
GCW officially confirmed the match in a subsequent Tweet:
“*HAMMERSTEIN UPDATE* Just Signed for #TheWrldOnGCW: *First Time Ever* ALLIE KATCH vs RUBY SOHO. Plus: Gresham vs Blake. Team Bandido vs Team Gringo. Watch LIVE on @FiteTV Sun, Jan 23rd – 8PM LIVE from The Hammerstein Ballroom!”
The match will be Soho’s first in GCW, and is one of a long list of highlights for the veteran since being released from WWE in 2021.
