AEW Star Wearing A Walking Boot Following Injury

An injured All Elite Wrestling talent may not be back in the ring in the near future.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Buddy Matthews posted a photo of him wearing a walking boot on his left foot, joking that he is now half Iron Man. This comes after Matthews sustained an ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam Australia when he rolled his ankle while jumping from the turnbuckle to the mat during his entrance.

Matthews was able to work his scheduled AEW Continental Title match against Kazuchika Okada at Grand Slam Australia but he was noticeably hobbling following the contest. Matthews was then spotted using a crutch in the days after Grand Slam Australia.

When Matthews will next appear on All Elite Wrestling TV is unknown as he is currently on his honeymoon with Rhea Ripley. Matthews' Hounds of Hell stablemates in Brody King and Julia Hart have continued to appear on TV during his absence. This includes King defeating Max Caster as part of Caster's open challenge series in which he loses every week in under two minutes.
