AEW Takes Shots At WWE NXT During New TNT Advert

Since Dynamite debuted on TNT on October 2nd, AEW has been locked into the latest professional wrestling war with WWE in what has been named the Wednesday Night Wars.

While some fans and even some wrestlers claim the Wednesday Night Wars isn't a thing, both companies have taken pot shots at one another over the past couple of months. WWE have considered legal action against Cody Rhodes for acquiring the trademark for Bash At The Beach, TNT aired a replay of AEW Dynamite to compete against Friday Night SmackDown on October 25th, and Cody recently acknowledged a "Suck It Vince" sign following a recent episode of Dynamite.

Now the latest chapter of the Wednesday Night Wars has been written. In their new advert on TNT hyping Dynamite, AEW take direct shots at their competition. During the 30-second clip, quotes from comicbook.com, Forbes, and The Wrap are shown. They say: "AEW Dynamite Crushes NXT", "AEW Dynamite Trounces NXT", and "AEW Dynamite Buries NXT."

AEW has emerged victorious in the ratings war for the first seven head-to-head episodes. However, in the past two weeks NXT has achieved higher ratings on the back of Survivor Series.
