AEW Target Finishing Up With Stardom

An AEW target is finishing up with Stardom

A talent being targeted by All Elite Wrestling looks set to become a free agent.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Mariah May will finish up with World Wonder Ring Stardom this coming Saturday at the finals of the Five Star Grand Prix tournament. This will be May's final show as part of the Stardom roster.

It emerged in August there were internal discussions within AEW about possibly working with Mariah May and there was traction to her signing with the promotion. WWE have also reportedly kept an eye on May but AEW were seen as a likely landing spot.

May has been a part of Stardom since January of 2023 and she is a former Goddesses of Stardom Champion with Mina Shirakawa. Prior to her run in Stardom, May was a regular on the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene, competing for the likes of RevPro, Kamikaze Pro, and SMW.

Top names in the AEW women's division include Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm, Saraya, Kris Statlander, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Willow Nightingale. The promotion recently lost one of their top names in Jade Cargill, who is believed to be WWE-bound.
