AEW 'Very, Very High' On Christian Cage

It isn't just All Elite Wrestling fans who are enjoying Christian Cage's current gimmick. 

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there are people within AEW that are "very, very high" on Christian Cage at the moment. 

Meltzer said while discussing Christian's chances of winning the TNT Championship: "I know that there are people very, very high on Christian right now, so that wouldn't surprise me at all."

Cage is set to challenge his best and only friend Luchasaurus for the TNT Title on this Saturday's episode of AEW Collision in a Three-Way that also features Darby Allin. Christian has proclaimed himself as the TNT Champion ever since Luchasaurus won the belt in June to the point that Luchasaurus has never actually held the title in his hands. 

Cage had been a babyface during his first 18 months in AEW but he turned heel in the summer of 2022. He has since developed a gimmick where he mocks other wrestlers for having deceased fathers, while also being somewhat of a sexual menace towards widows. 

Cage looks set to be a part of AEW for the foreseeable future as he revealed earlier this month that he recently re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.
