Christian Cage Says He Recently Re-Signed With AEW

Tony Khan 'opened the vault', according to Cage.

AEW star Christian Cage has revealed that he recently re-signed with Tony Khan's promotion.

During last night's post-All Out media scrum, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion noted that he has re-upped with AEW (for an apparently princely sum), saying:

"It might have been some of you people who said I wasn't worth the hype. I think I've proved you all wrong now. I know I proved Tony Khan right because he just re-signed me to a big fat contract. He opened the vault for me and I deserve every single penny that I got".

Cage made his AEW debut at Revolution 2021.

The 49-year-old was also asked about the status of his real-life best friend Adam Copeland (AKA Edge), who is rumoured to be AEW-bound.

Cage would not let on whether he knew anything about the WWE Hall of Famer's movements, however, replying: "I only talk about myself and Luchasaurus. I have no friends other than Luchasaurus and I'll leave it at that"

Christian was on hand to watch Luchasaurus retain his AEW TNT Championship against Darby Allin at All Out.
