All Star Junior Festival USA Set For August

The All Star Junior Festival is coming back for a second event, this time in the United States

Junior heavyweights will have the opportunity to shine in the United States later this year.

It was announced during Sunday night's Collision in Philadelphia show by New Japan Pro-Wrestling that the All Star Junior Festival USA will take place on Saturday, August 19 at Philadelphia's 2300 Arena. Tickets for the event are already on sale.

Which promotions will be involved in the All Star Junior Festival USA has not been revealed but NJPW have partnerships in the United States with AEW and IMPACT so their talents may well be in action at the show.

The inaugural All Star Junior Festival was held on March 1 at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall. The show featured some of the best junior heavyweights in the world from over 20 promotions, including NJPW, AJPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL, and Osaka Pro. The show was produced by IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi and was main evented by NJPW's Master Wato vs. AJPW's Atsuki Aoyagi.

Following the All Star Junior Festival USA, New Japan will partner with IMPACT Wrestling to hold Multiverse United 2 at the 2300 Arena on Sunday, August 20.
