Road Dogg Doesn't Think Cody Rhodes Earned An Undisputed WWE Universal Title Win At WrestleMania 39

We are only a few weeks removed from WWE WrestleMania 39, and the shock sight of Cody Rhodes failing in his quest to dethrone Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Many would have bet their house on Cody Rhodes ‘finishing the story’ at Mania and becoming the champ, but WWE’s Road Dogg thinks ‘The American Nightmare’ hasn’t earned such an honour, saying the following on the Oh… You Didn’t Know podcast:

“He came in and he had no adversity. He went right through the [Royal] Rumble, right through everybody, and right to the champion. And so the argument could be made, if you just give it to him now, did he earn it?” said Road Dogg.

Whether you agree or disagree with Road Dogg, it does seem like WWE missed a golden opportunity to establish Rhodes as a true main event face at WrestleMania, and even if he does overcome ‘adversity’ on his quest to win the big win, will it be too late?
