As Kenny Omega signed off during a promo on All Elite Wrestling’s Sixth Anniversary edition of Dynamite he was ambushed in the ring by a returning Andrade el Idolo, Andrade rejoining AEW weeks after his WWE exit.

Andrade instantly linked up with the Don Callis Family, and it seems as though the former LFI member is sticking around.

A report from Fightful Select has shed some more light on Andrade’s return. Andrade was fired by WWE on September 13 due to what has been reported as ‘disciplinary issues’, Andrade’s second run in the promotion ending a little over eighteen months. Crucially, Andrade did not have a ‘no compete’ period after his WWE exit, with Fightful suggesting ‘the wheels had been in motion’ for Andrade’s AEW return ‘for weeks’.

Indeed, shortly after his WWE exit, reports emerged stating that the bridge between Andrade and AEW had not been ‘completely burned’, and that is evidently true as El Idolo has reportedly signed a full-time deal upon his return to the company.

Andrade originally wrestled for AEW from June 2021 until late 2023, exiting on less than ideal terms with the expiration of his deal. Andrade’s last AEW match to date was a singles loss to Miro (Rusev) at AEW Worlds End in December 2023. Prior to his exit, there were hopes in AEW that Andrade would re-sign, but he ultimately jumped ship to WWE
