Another Backstage Name Gone From TNA Wrestling

Another name has exited TNA Wrestling’s backstage team

Another name has departed the backstage set-up at TNA Wrestling, with the promotion undergoing a series of changes behind the scenes in recent weeks.

Per a report from Fightful Select, Anthem (TNA owners) VP of Marketing Lou D’Angeli has left the company, with the exit of D’Angeli and an as-yet unnamed other name chalked up as Anthem wanting to go in a new direction, and get ‘more effective’ in the live event markets.

D’Angeli will be familiar to long-time fans as the former Sign Guy Dudley and Lou. E Dangerously of Extreme Championship Wrestling, with D’Angeli’s TNA tenure attributed as one reason why CM Punk spent time visiting the promotion prior to his WWE return.

In late May it was revealed that RD Evans had left the company, with a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stating that there is currently "a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes” in TNA.

The promotion recently strengthened its ties with WWE, with TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace making her NXT debut as the latest step in a burgeoning working relationship between the two companies.
