There have been some perfect retirement matches over the course of professional wrestling. Shawn Michaels bowing out against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26, Sting retiring as AEW World Tag Team Champion at AEW Revolution 2024, among others. If Asuka ends her career in the manner she wants, then it would trump any other retirement in professional wrestling history. Asuka has taken more regularly to social media in her injury absence, with her not set to be back until after WrestleMania.

The multi-time WWE Women’s Champion was asked on X about whether she’d prefer to retire in one final match either at WrestleMania or the Tokyo Dome, and in her response she noted that she would like a crossover of both options, with an added twist.

“Easy. Tokyo Dome… but only if it’s WrestleMania and I enter on Godzilla’s back.”

Asuka is a first ballot WWE Hall Of Famer with a lengthy list of accomplishments within the company. She is a former four time WWE Women’s World Champion, NXT Women’s Champion, four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, inaugural women’s Royal Rumble winner, and Miss. Money In The Bank. Given her huge success in WWE, the company needed to bite the bullet and host a WrestleMania in the Tokyo Dome for Asuka, and somehow bring the big man Godzilla into the venue to bring Asuka to the ring. We’re unsure if he has a bookings email.
