Asuka may not be back on WWE TV in time for WrestleMania 41.

According to Bodyslam.net, Asuka is expected to be out of action for at least a couple of more months and she will likely return at some point after WrestleMania 41. WrestleMania is scheduled to be held on April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WWE reportedly hoped to have Asuka back sooner but the company are taking a cautious approach with her recovery. Asuka has been out of action since she and Kairi Sane dropped the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at Backlash in May 2024. Asuka later underwent knee surgery.

As of January 2025, WWE were reportedly discussing plans for Asuka's on-screen return but there was no word on a possible timetable. The 43-year-old has been signed to WWE since 2015 and she is a four-time women's champion on the main roster, one-time NXT Women's Champion, and four-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.

Asuka noted earlier this year that fans were interfering with her private life and WWE & TKO were taking steps to protect her.
