Awesome Kong Announced For Impact Hall Of Fame

Awesome Kong is set to be the latest inductee into the Impact Hall of Fame, as announced Saturday night at the Knockouts Knockdown special.
Kong will be inducted into the Hall at Impact Wrestling's Bound For Glory, on Saturday night, October 23.
Kong worked for Impact across two tenures that span six years. In her time with Impact, Kong held the Knockouts title on two occasions, and reigned as Knockouts Tag Team champion with Ayako Hamada.
Kong debuted for Impact in 2007. She became the second woman to hold the Knockouts title, after defeating Gail Kim in January of 2008. Her first reign lasted nearly six months, as did her second reign (which began later in 2008).
Kong also had notable tenures with All Japan Women, SHIMMER, AEW, and WWE (where she briefly appeared as Kharma) in her career.
Kong announced her retirement from the ring on August 28, at NWA EmPowerrr.
Kong becomes the second female inductee into the Impact Hall of Fame, following Gail Kim. Other prior inductees include Sting, Kurt Angle, Team 3D, Jeff Jarrett, Earl Hebner, Abyss, and Ken Shamrock.
