Alexa Bliss makes her entrance during the 2025 WWE women's Royal Rumble match

Alexa Bliss won't be gone from WWE any time in the near future.

It was revealed following her return in the Royal Rumble that Alexa Bliss had signed a new contract with the company after her contract stand-off with WWE had been resolved.

Fightful Select has since reported that WWE and Bliss agreed to a new five-year deal so she will be a part of the company for the foreseeable future. Bliss was a late addition to the Rumble, putting pen to paper on her new contract on Saturday and being flown to Indianapolis that same day.

Plans for Bliss to appear in the Rumble came together so late that Shotzi was originally planned for Bliss' spot in the Women's Rumble.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Mojo Rawley, Alexa Bliss' agent, was the person who resolved the contract stand-off.

"The actual signing was when she got there. She signed on Saturday but she probably agreed to it on Friday. But it was Mojo Rawley - Dean Muhtadi - he's her agent and he's the one that put the deal together when it was not looking like it would be put together. So he mended fences and it got put together in time for the Rumble," Meltzer said.

Some questioned how WWE had merchandise ready for Alexa Bliss if her return was a late decision. Fightful has noted that WWE prepared merch for Bliss' return weeks ago as they readied for her to come back, with Bliss' merchandise selling very well at the Royal Rumble.

Original plans reportedly called for Bliss to return in a programme with the Wyatt Sicks on the January 13 episode of Raw. Those plans were scrapped, though, due to the contract dispute.
